Sugar Cookies

Jan Stringers (my brother Hollis's wife)grandmothers recipe. She was Swedish. We have made these and her spice cookie's many many times over the years especially when the children were young and living at home.

Ingredients

• 1 cup margarine
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 egg
• pinch of salt
• 1/2 tsp soda
• 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
• 1 tsp lemon extract
• 2 1/4 cup flour

Preparation

Step 1

Mix all ingredients and make into small balls. Place on cookie sheet and flatten with a cup or small glass dipped in sugar. Bake at 350.
