  • 2 lbs frozen brussel sprouts
  • 1 Tbs unsalted margarine
  • 1 Tbs sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • zest of one lemon
  • 1/2 cup toasted slivered almonds

Preparation

Step 1

Boil a pot of salted water and add the brussel sprouts. Cook for 3-4 min,until softened and drain. In a saucepan heat marg,add to vegetables. Sprinkle with sugar and cook for a few min. until they begin to brown at the edges.Right before serving,dust them with salt and top with lemon zest and almonds.Serve warm or at room temp.
