Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Milk
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar
  • 2 Tsp Salt
  • 3/4 Cup Cold Water
  • 1/4 Cut Shortening
  • 1/2 Cup Luke Warm Water
  • 2 Tsp Sugar
  • 2 Packages Yeast
  • 2 Eggs, well beaten
  • 7- 7 1/2 Cups Flour

Step 1

Scald milk, add sugar, shortening, salt and cold water. Add eggs. Measure lukewarm water into large bowl. Add tsps. Sugar and the yeast. Let stand 10 minutes. Stir in warm milk mixture and half of the flour. Add rest of flour, knead for 10 minutes. Place in bowl, let rise until double. Knead down, let rest for 10 minutes, make into buns, let rise until double. Bake at 400F for 15-20 minutes.
