Ingredients
- Oven Temperature: 350
- 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
- 3 cloves garlic, chopped
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 2-27 oz. cans tomatoes, chopped with juice
- 2-6 oz. cans tomato paste
- 1/8 tsp. marjoram
- 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1/8 tsp. ground cloves
- 1/2 cup chopped ripe olives
- 1/4 cup chopped green olives
- 1 tbsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 3 tbsp. sugar
- 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms
- 2 tbsp. butter
- 1-16 oz. package spaghetti
- grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup toasted almonds

Preparation
Step 1
Brown ground beef. Remove from pan. Saute garlic, onion and green pepper in drippings. Drain. Combine next 10 ingredients. Add to sauteed vegetables along with ground beef. Saute mushrooms in butter and add to meat mixture. Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Rinse in cold water. Lightly grease a 3 qt. casserole. Alternate layers of spaghetti and meat sauce. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Garnish with extra sliced olives. Top with toasted almonds. Bake 45 minutes to 1 hour.
