Monster Cookies

Yield: 3 1/2 dozen cookies

In addition to the contents of the jar, you will need to add the following ingredients:

3/4 cup butter, softened
1 egg
1 teas vanilla extract

MONSTER COOKIES
Preheat the oven to 350. In a large bowl, cream the butter, egg, and vanilla extract. Add the contents of the jar, and stir until well mixed. Drop the dough by heaping teaspoonfuls onto an ungreased baking sheet, spacing the cookies about 2 inches apart. bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until light brown in color. Allow to cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet. Then transfer to wire racks and cool completely. Serve immediately, or store in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.

Ingredients

• 1 1/8 cups quick cooking oatmeal
• 3/4 cup brown sugar
• 1/2 cup dark raisins
• 1 cup mini m&m's baking bits
• 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
• 1/2 teas ground cinnamon
• 1/2 teas salt
• 1/2 teas baking soda
• 3/4 cup all purpose flour

Preparation

Step 1

1. Wash and thoroughly dry a 1 quart wide mouth canning jar.

2. Layer the ingredients in the jar as shown at left, pressing firmly after each addition. Mkae the layers as level as possible.

3. Secure the lid, and decorate as desired. Attach the instructions for making the cookies found below.
