Ingredients
- FOR THE SAUCE:
- 1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
- 4 slices bread, crumbled into small pieces, or 3/4 c. dried bread crumbs
- 1 lg. egg
- 1/4 c. chopped onion
- 1/4 c. lemon juice
- 2 tsps. seasoned salt
- 1/4 c. ketchup
- 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1 tsp. dry mustard
- 1/4 tsp. ground cloves
- 1/4 tspl ground allspice

Step 1
For the cakes: Heat oven to 360 degrees. In a lg. mixing bowl, combine the beef, bread crumbs, egg, onion, lemon juice and salt. Mix thoroughly and shape into 6 loaves. Space evenly on a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes.
For the sauce: In a small bowl, mix all the ingredients together. Brush the cakes with the sauce, return to oven and bake about 20 minutes more.
