Ingredients
- 4 c flour-plus 1 TBS for dusting
- 1/2 c sugar
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 3 c dark seedless raisins ( golden raisins work good too)
- 1 Tbs caraway seeds
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 1/4 c buttermilk
- 1 c sour cream

Step 1
1. Grease 9" round cast iron skillet or baking pan
2. Combine 4 cups flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, raisins and caraway seeds in a large bowl.
3. Blend eggs, buttermilk and sour cream in a small bowl.
4. Stir wet ingredients into flour mixture just until flour is moistened. Dough is sticky.
5. Knead dough in bowl about 10 strokes.
6. Shape into ball: place into skillet. Cut 3/4" deep across top of dough. Sprinkle with 1 TBS of flour.
7. Bake 350' for 65-75 minutes.
