Ingredients

  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar Cheese (8 oz)
  • 2 cups shredded Monterrey Jack (8 oz)
  • 1/2 pound country sausage, cooked
  • 1 can(4 oz) chopped green chilies, drained
  • 1 1/4 cup milk
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 eggs
  • picante sauce for side service

Preparation

Step 1

Layer Cheddar cheese, chilies, Monterrey Jack Cheese, and drained crumbled sausage in greased square baking dish, 8x8x2.
Beat eggs, milk, salt, and flour; pour over cheese mixture.
Bake uncovered at 350 for 40 minutes until set in center and top is golden brown.
Let stand 10 minutes before cutting. Serve with salsa (see Restaurant style salsa under Mexican dishes).
