  • 1 lb. chocolate chips = 2 1/4 cup
  • 6 oz. butter = 1 1/2 cubes
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 Tablespoon sugar
  • 1 Tablespoon flour

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter and chocolate chips in the microwave.
Main mixing bowl: Beat 4 eggs into bowl set in frying pan with boiling water. Beat until eggs are warm to touch.
Add sugar to eggs. Beat
Fold in chocolate/butter mix with the flour. Mix very well.

Pour mix in 8” greased, floured and wax papered round pan. Drop pan several times from about 3” to remove air bubbles.

Bake at 425 for 15 minutes. Cool completely before removing.

Icing:
Microwave ¾ stick butter and 1 cup chocolate chips
Stir in 3 Tablespoons whipping cream (liquid, like you buy half and half)
Pour over cake slowly. Refrigerate cake until icing is firm.
I like to put raspberries on top in the middle.
