Hot Fudge Sundae Cake

• Cooking spray
• 1 cup flour
• 1/2 cup plus 1/3 cup granulated sugar
• 1/4 cup plus 5 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
• 2 teaspoons baking powder
• 1/4 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 cup milk
• 2 tablespoons mild olive oil
• 1-1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
• 1 cup packed light brown sugar
• 1-3/4 cups boiling water
• 1 cup whip cream

Preparation

Step 1

DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix the flour, granulated sugar, 2 tablespoons cocoa, baking powder and salt in an ungreased 9x9x2 square baking pan.

Mix the milk, oil and vanilla until smooth. Spread the batter into the pan and smooth the top. Sprinkle with the brown sugar and 1/4 cup of cocoa Pour the hot water over the batter.
Bake 40 minutes While warm spoon into dishes and serve with whip cream.
