  • 1 bunch kale leaves
  • 1 tbsp. cold-pressed, extra-virgin olive oil
  • 3 tbsp. nutritional yeast
  • 2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. smoked paprika

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.

2. Remove leaves from the stems of the kale and roughly tear into large pieces. Wash and spin the leaves until thoroughly dry.

3. Add kale leaves into a large bowl. Thoroughly massage in the oil until leaves are fully coated. Combine spice mixture in separate bowl, then sprinkle onto kale leaves and toss to coat leaves.

4. Spread out the kale onto the prepared baking sheets in a single layer, being sure not to overcrowd the kale.

5. Bake for 10 minutes, rotate the pan (don't flip over kale leaves), and bake for another 12-15 minutes more until the kale begins to get crispy but not burnt. Enjoy immediately as kale will lose its crispiness if stored.
