Ingredients

  • 1 TBL butter
  • 2 TBL soy sauce
  • 2 tsp tobasco sauce
  • 3 garlic cloves - mashed
  • 1 LB almonds (blanched)
  • 3 tsp seasoned pepper
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes

Preparation

Step 1

preheat oven 350
coat rimed baking sheet w/ TBL butter
sprinkle soy sauce, tobasco & garlic
scatter almonds (stir w/ fork until well coated)
sprinkle 1-1/2tsp seasoned pepper, pepper flakex (mixed together)
bake 10 min
sprinkle almonds w/ remaining season pepper
stir
bake 15 more minutes
stir
bake 10-20 more minutes (until brown, not burnt)
cool
store up to 3 months (no need to refrig)

BLANCH ALMONDS:
put in boiling water
let stand 3 min
drain
slide skin off w/ fingers
spread nuts on absorbent paper towels to dry
