  • 1/2 cup soft butter
  • 1 egg yolk, reserve white
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Step 1

Heat over to 350. Mix butter, sugar, and egg yolk until fluffy. Add vanilla. Mix flour and salt, stir into mixture and mix well.

Roll one teaspoon of dough into a ball, dip into slightly beaten egg white, and roll into finely chopped nuts or coconut. Place on sheet and press with your thumb. Bake 10 to 15 minutes. Fill centers with icing.
