Ingredients
- 1 stick margarine
- 2 sticks butter
- 3 cups sugar
- 6 eggs
- 3 cups + 2 Tbsp plain flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp soda
- 8 oz sour cream
- 1 tsp vanilla
- Chocolate Sour Cream Pound Cake
- 3 oz melted, cooled, unsweet chocolate

Preparation
Step 1
Cream butter, margarine & sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs 1 at a time. Beat well after each. Add vanilla. Sift dry ingredients; 3 times, then add alternating with sour cream. Bake in greased and floured 10" tube pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until done.
To make "Chocolate Sour Cream Pound Cake" add chocolate before adding eggs. Mix all the rest as before and bake.
If baking in bunt pan, remove 1 cup batter to keep from running over.
