Ingredients

  • 12 oz. Jimmy Dean pork sausage
  • 1/2 stalk celery
  • 1 onion
  • 1 1/2 pound loaf of bread
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons poultry seasoning (or more)
  • 2 teaspoons sage (or more)

Step 1

Crumble and brown sausage. Do not drain. Chop celery and onion, andd to sausage. Pour 2 cups (or more) water and simmer until celery and onion are soft. Cube bread and add the sausage , celery and onion mixture to it. Beat eggs and 1/2 cup milk (or more - depending upon how dry the bread mixture is). Should be good and moist, add to sausage mixture. Sprinkle poultry seasoning, and sage over the bread mixture. Mix with hands. Season to smell.
