Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups sugar
- 1/4 cup + 2 tablespoons four
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 5 cups milk
- 4 eggs
- 4 cups whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons vanilla
- 2 cups rock salt
- 2 cups cold water

Preparation
Step 1
Combine sugar, flour, and salt in sauce pan. Gradually add milk. Cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring constantly (about 15 minutes) Gradually stir 1 cup of hot milk mixture into beaten eggs. Add egg mixture slowly back into remaining hot milk mixture. Cook one minute. Remove from heat. Regfrigerate 2 hours.
Combine whipping cream and vanilla, add to chilled mixture; whisk to mix. Freeze 25-40 mintues in an ice cream maker.
