  • 3 sticks unsalted butter, softened and cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

Step 1

In a large bowl, beat the butter with an electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Add the marshmallow creme and beat until smooth, scraping down the sides of the bowl. Add the confectioners' sugar, cocoa, and vanilla extract and beat until light and fluffy. If the mixture seems too stiff, soften in the microwave for no more than 10 seconds and beat again until smooth.
