Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 12 ounces beer
  • 1 egg + 2 Tblsp water (optional for brushing top of bread, before baking)
  • May add cheese and herbs to your liking. 1 tsp. dried (or 1 TBSLP fresh) rosemary & 2 cloves of minced garlic; oregano; thyme; cheddar cheese; parmasean cheese.
  • May substitue 1/2 cup oats for 1/2 cup of the flour.

Step 1

Heat oven to 375 degrees.

Whisk dry ingredients together. Pour beer into dry ingredients. Mix. Place in a greased loaf pan. Brush with egg mixture. Bake about 45 minutes, or until toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean.
