Ingredients
- 1 9" unbaked pie crust
- 1 cup light corn syrup (I use Karo
- 1 cup of firmly packed dark brown sugar
- 3 eggs slightly beaten
- 1/2 cups butter, melted
- 1/3 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 heaping cup of pecan halves

Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 350 degrees
In a large bowl, combine corn cyrup, sugar, eggs, butter, salt and vanilla; mix well.
Pour filling into unbaked pie crust; sprinkle with pecan halves.
Bake 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes or until center is set. ( a toothpick inserted into center well comes out clean when pie is done. If electirc oven is used it might be necessary to add 15 to 20 minutes to baking time.
