Cookies M & M Party Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 cup sortening
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar
• 2 teaspoons vanilla
• 2 eggs
• 2 1/4 cups sifted flour
• 1 teaspoon soda
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 1/2 cups M & M Plain chocolate candies (colored no peanuts)

Preparation

Step 1

Blend shortening and sugars. Beat in vanilla and eggs. Sift remaining dry ingredients together, add to sugar and egg mixture. Mix well. Stir in 1 cup candies--reserve remaining candies for decorating. Drop from teaspoon on ungreased cookie sheet. Decorate tops with remaining candies. Bake 375 degrees F. for 10-12 minutes until golden brown. After baking some candies might be slightly cracked but this adds texture and interest to cookie.

Yield about 6 dozen cookies
