  • 1 lb Ricotta or small curd cottage cheese
  • 1 1/2 cup shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp Basil
  • 1/2 tsp oregano
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbs parsley flakes
  • 2 (161/2 oz) jars spaghetti sauce
  • 1/2 package lasagna noodles (uncooked-8 oz)
  • 1 cup water

Step 1

In large bowl, mix together cottage cheese, 1 cup mozzarella cheese, the egg, spinach, Parmesan cheese, and seasonings. In greased 13x9x2 inch baking dish, layer 1/2 cup sauce, 1/3 of the noodles and 1/2 of the cheese mixture. Repeat. Top with remaining noodles, then with remaining sauce. Sprinkle with the remaining mozzarella cheese. Pour one cup water around edges. Cover tightly with foil. Bake one hour and fifteen minutes at 350 degrees. Let stand 15 minutes before serving.
