Ingredients
- SALAD:
- 1 lb. Gimelli pasta
- 2 cups diced turkey or chicken
- 1 cup dried cherries
- 1 med yellow onion diced very fine
- 4 diced celery stalks
- 1 cup whole toasted almonds (or slivered/sliced)
- DRESSING:
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 2 T Champagne vinegar (or white wine vinegar)
- 2 cups real mayo (or 1 1/2 cups mayo and 1/2 cup salad dressing)
- 2 T cold water
- 2 T poppy seeds
- 2 tsp. kosher salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. Garlic powder to taste

Preparation
Step 1
Toast almonds in the oven at 350 deg for 10-12 minutes – turn halfway thru. Prepare dressing. Combine salad ingredients and toss with dressing.
