Ingredients
- Hot and Spicy
- 1 lb. flank steak or sirloin tip cut in 1 1/2 strips
- 2 tbsp. sherry (sub)
- 2 tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 tsp. grated fresh ginger or 1/4 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/2 to 1 tsp. crushed dried red peppers
- 1/4 cup oil
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup sliced celery
- 1/2 cup sliced green pepper
- 1/2 tsp. salt

Step 1
Cut meat strips into 1/8 inch thick slices
This is easier to do when partially frozen. Combine sherry, soy sauce, cornstarch, ginger and red pepper in a small bowl. Add beef. Toss to coat. Let stand 15 minutes. Heat 2 tbsp. oil in a skillet or wok and stir-fry until celery is tender crisp. Add salt. Return beef to wok. Cook until beef is heated. Serve over rice.
