MONTE CRISTO SLIDERS

Ingredients
- 12 slider buns or rolls (King's Hawaiian rolls are delicious in this recipe)
- Ham
- Turkey
- Swiss cheese, thinly sliced
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
- Jam, for dipping

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Take the rolls and slice in half. Because of the weight of the sandwiches, the bottom half of the sandwich gets pretty flat during the cooking process. If this bothers you, you can cut them so the bottom half is a little thicker than the top - it's completely up to you.
Line a 9x13 baking dish with foil that hangs over the side (enough to pull the ends together to form a tent) and place the bottom half of the slider buns on the foil.
Layer ham and cheese and top with the slider buns.
In a small saucepan, melt the butter and remove from heat.
Whisk in egg and mustard to combine completely.
Pour the egg mixture over the top of the buns so that everything is coated.
Pull the ends of the foil together to form a tent over the buns.
Bake for 20 minutes with the foil tented. Untent the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
Slice the sliders into individual sandwiches and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Dip in jam.
