Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground lamb or ground round beef
  • 11/4 cup chopped onion
  • 4 tsp curry powder
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 tsp ground red pepper
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 21/2 cups cubed potatoes
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cups frozen peas
  • 1 cup chopped peeled tomato
  • 3 cups cooked basmati

Preparation

Step 1

Cook lamb and onion in a large skillet. Drain and return to skillet
Stir in curry powder and next 5 ingredients. Stir in potato and water. Bring to a boil, cover reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes or until potato is very tender. Stir in peas and tomato. Cover and simmer 5 minutes. Serve over rice.
