  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 1/2 C. milk
  • 1/4 C. packed brown sugar
  • 2 C. all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Step 1

Heat deep fryer to 375 degrees. In bowl, combine eggs, milk, and sugar. In another bowl, combine flour, powder, and salt. Beat dry ingredients into egg mixture until smooth. Cover bottom of funnel spout with your finger; ladle ½ C. batter into funnel. Holding funnel above skillet, release finger and move funnel in spiral motion until all batter is out. Fry for 2 min. each side. Drain on paper towel. Dust with confectioner’s sugar.
