Ingredients

  • 1 lb rotini or rotelle, uncooked
  • 3/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tbs dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 can (15 or 19 oz) can chick peas,
  • drained and rinsed
  • 2 cups chopped green pepper
  • 2 cups fresh chopped tomatoes
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped onions
  • 1/2 lb cups sliced hard salami or cubed
  • pepperoni
  • 3/4 cup cubed provolone or mozzarella
  • cheese
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives

Preparation

Step 1

Cook pasta as directed on package, drain. Rinse with cold water to cool quickly; drain well.
In a small bowl, whisk together oil, vinegar, sugar and seasonings.
In a large bowl, combine pasta, dressing and remaining ingredients Cover and refrigerate.
