Ingredients

  • 4 C regular rolled oats
  • 1 1/2 C sliced almonds
  • 1/2 C packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1/2 t ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 C cooking oil
  • 1/4 C honey
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1 1/2 C raisins or dried cranberries

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. In a large bowl combine oats, almonds, brown sugar, salt and cinnamon. In a saucepan, heat oil and honey just until warm. Stir in vanilla. Carefully pour over oat mixture. Stir gently until combined.

2. Spread mixture in a 15 x 10 inch baking pan. Bake 45 minutes, stirring carefully every 15 min. remove from heat; stir in raisins. Cool completely. Transfer to an airtight container or resealable plastic bags. Store at room temp 1 week or freeze up to 3 month.
