Ingredients

  • 1/4 c minced red onion
  • 1/2 c minced red tomatoes
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 2 Tbsp hot sauce, I used Cholula chili lime hot sauce
  • 1 1/2 lb ground beef for burgers
  • 6 to 8 slices monterey jack cheese
  • sliced avocado
  • sour cream
  • burger buns

Preparation

Step 1

Cut up the tomatoes and onions, chop the cilantro.

I used my mixer to make the burger mixture with the ground beef, onions, tomatoes, cumin, peppers, hot sauce, cilantro and garlic. Then formed into patties.

Grill them for 7 to 10 minutes on each side then topped them with the monterey jack cheese.

Put them on burger rolls and topped them with the avocado and sour cream.
