- 2 cups unbleached flour
- 1 T baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips or dried fruit
- 1 1/4 cups whipping cream
- 2 T unsalted butter, melted
- 1 T sugar

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 425°
Combine flour, baking powder, salt and sugar in a bowl. Add the chocolate chips (or optional ingredient, such as dried fruit).
Stir in the cream with a fork until dough holds together in a sticky mass; you may need to add a tablespoon or more of cream until dough holds together.
Turn dough out on a highly floured board. Knead several times.
Pat dough into a 10 inch circle. Cut into eight wedges; or other shape as desired.
Place on un-greased cookie sheet, about 2 inches apart.
Brush dough with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar.
Bake for about 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
