Ingredients

  • Makes 2 cups
  • 6 oz Baker’s semi-sweet chocolate, divided
  • 2/3 cup + 2 Tablespoons heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 3 Tablespoons butter
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Heat a medium-sized, heavy-bottomed saucepan over medium-high heat then add half the chocolate, heavy cream, brown sugar, cocoa powder, and salt. While stirring constantly, bring mixture to a boil then turn heat down to medium-low and continue to stir and cook for 5 minutes.
Remove pan from heat then add remaining chocolate and butter, and then stir until smooth. Add vanilla then stir to combine. Cool slightly before using or, using a funnel, pour hot fudge sauce into jars with tight-fitting lids and store in the refrigerator. Reheat in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between intervals.
