Ingredients
- 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
- 2 cans 16 oz each jellied cranberry sauce
- 3 1/2 cups water
- 6 cups apple juice
- butter and cinnamon sticks optional

Preparation
Step 1
COMBINE sugar and one cup water, salt and spices in a large Dutch oven; heat to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer.
COMBINE cranberry sauce and 3 1/2 cups water and mix well. Gradually add cranberry mix and apple juice to simmering syrup; heat to just below simmering.
