Preparation

Step 1

1. Grease 13x9x2 inch baking pan. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. Combine peanut butter, butter and vanilla in a large bowl; beat until well blended then beat in the brown sugar until light and fluffy; beat in eggs one at a time keeping mixture light and fluffy.
3. Sift flour and salt into small bowl then stir into peanut butter mixture just until blended. Spread batter into greased baking pan.
4. Bake in moderate oven (350 degrees) for 35 minutes until center springs back when lightly touched with fingertip (like a brownie, edges will remain firm while center will be softer). Remove pan from oven and cool slightly by placing pan on wire rack.
5. Combine powdered sugar (sift if lumpy) butter and warm water in small bowl; stir until smooth then spread over top of baked product which is still warm from the oven.
6. Melt chocolate and oil in small heavy saucepan over low heat. When melted, then drizzle over the white glaze forming a black & white pattern. When cool, cut into 36 rectangles using a sharp knife.
