Ingredients

  • 1 large Flank steak or Flat Iron steak
  • 1 cup teriyaki marinade
  • 1/2 cup diced yellow onion
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon dark sesame oil
  • 1 minced garlic clove
  • pepper to taste

Step 1

In a shallow dish, whisk together teriyaki marinade, onion, honey, orange juice, rosemary, sesame oil, garlic and pepper to taste. Mix well to blend and remove 3/4 cup of marinade and set aside for basting. With sharp knife, lightly score both sides of the steak in a criss-cross pattern. Place steak into the marinade and cover. Marinate for 30 min. To cook, remove steak from marinade. Place steak on the grill and cook 17-21 min. for medium rare to medium. Baste occasionally with reserved marinade. Cook and reduce the remaining basting marinade and serve as a sauce with meat. Cut meat against grain into thin slices for serving.
