Ingredients
- 1 (4LB) beef brisket
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 2 med. sweet onions, sliced into rings, (Vidalia)
- 1 (1.4-oz) pkg french onion recipe mix (Knorr)
- 1 (14-1/2oz) can beef broth
- 1 (12-o) bottle bock beer (shiner bock)

Preparation
Step 1
let brisket stand at room temp for 30 min
sprinkle both sides of brisket w/ S & P
spray 6-qt slow cooker w/ nonstick cooking spray
add onions & sprinkle w/ onion recipe mix
add broth & beer
place brisket on top of onions
cover
cook on low for 9-10 hrs or until brisket is tender
remove brisket from cooker, reserving au jus
place brisket on cutting board & let stand for 15 min
using 2 forks shred brisket
serve w/ onions & au jus
if desired remove & reserve 2 C shredded beef & 1 C au jus for French Dip Sandwiches
