  • 1/2 pack (16 oz.) bulk pork sausage, cooked, drained and crumbled
  • 2 cup cubed day-old bread
  • 1 cup (8 oz.) shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup (12 fl. oz. each) NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Evaporated Milk
  • 5 Large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 teasp Dry mustard
  • 1/8 teasp Onion powder

Note: The amounts of the ingredients are modified to yield a new amount. The directions below have not been adjusted and still refers to the original recipe yield of 8 Breakfast Sausage Casserole.


1. GREASE 13x9x2-inch baking dish. Place bread in prepared baking dish. Sprinkle with cheese.
2. COMBINE evaporated milk, eggs, dry mustard and onion powder in medium bowl. Pour evenly over bread and cheese. Sprinkle with sausage. Cover; refrigerate overnight.
3. PREHEAT oven to 325° F.
4. BAKE for 55 to 60 minutes or until cheese is golden brown. Cover with foil if top browns too quickly. Season with ground black pepper.
