Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups White Sugar, divided
  • 1 cup Flour
  • 1/2 cup Cocoa, divided
  • 2 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 cup Soy Milk
  • 1/4 cup Chocolate Liqueur
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Exctract
  • 1/3 cup Margarine, melted
  • 1/2 cup Light Brown Sugar, packed
  • 1 1/4 cups Hot water

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350.
In a medium-sized bowl, combine 3/4 cup white sugar, flour, 1/4 cup cocoa, baking powder and salt. Add soy milk, chocolate liqueur and vanilla extract.
Mix until smooth.
Pour into an ungreased 8" square pan.
Stir together remaining 1/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup brown sugar, and remaining 1/4 cup cocoa. Sprinkle evenly over batter. Pour hot water on top. DO NOT STIR.
Bake 40-45 minutes.
