Ingredients
- 1 C long grain white rice
- 2 C wqater or chicken stock
- 1 TBL butter
- 1 TBL finely minced onion
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 sm. pinch saffron, crumbled

Preparation
Step 1
place butter & minced onion in heavy qt. saucepan
saute over med. heat until onion is translucent
add rice, saffron, water or stock & salt
bring to rolling boil
cover, reduce heat to simmer
cook until rice is tender & liquid is absorbed (abt. 18 min)
