Ingredients

  • 2 TBL soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 2 tsp dry sherry
  • 2 tsp hoisin sauce
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp chile paste w/ garlic
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp peanut oil
  • 1 TBL minced peeled fresh ginger
  • 1 TBL minced fresh garlic
  • 1 LB sirloin steak, thinly sliced across the grain
  • 16 med. green onions, cut into 2" pieces

Preparation

Step 1

combine 1st 8 ingredients, stirring until smooth

heat peanut oil in lg. nonstick skillet over med-high heat
add minced ginger, minced garlic & beef
saute for 2 min. or until beef is browned
add green onion pieces
saute 30 seconds
add soy sauce mix.
cook 1 min or until thickened, stirring constantly
