Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 1 1 cup white sugar
• 2 2 2 cups brown sugar
• 2 2 2 cups shortening
• 4 4 4 eggs
• 4 4 4 cups flour
• 4 4 4 cups oatmeal
• 2 2 2 bags chocolate chips
• 2 2 2 tsp salt
• 2 2 2 tsp baking soda
• 2 2 2 tsp vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Cream sugars with shortening. Add eggs, salt, soda and vanilla. Beat until batter is creamy and fluffy. Add flour and mix well. Then add oatmeal and chocolate chips and finish mixing by hand as batter will be too thick for beaters. Place a good amount of cookie dough on greased cookie sheet and press with hand into desired shape (not thin).

Bake at 350° (preheat). Take out of oven before brown. (It may not seem quite done - but settles as it cools.)
