Ingredients
- Cake:
- 2 cups of flour
- 1 tablespoons of levure chimique
- 3/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1 1/3 cups of soft butter
- 1 1/3 cups of sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of vanilla
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1/3 cup poppy seeds
- Filling:
- 2 eggs
- 6 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons of lemon zest
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1/4 cup of butter
- Icing:
- 1/2 cup of soft butter
- 4 cups of icing sugar
- 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon of lemon zest
- 1/4 cup light cream

Preparation
Step 1
1. Combine flour, levure and salt.
2. Cream the butter and slowly add sugar and vanilla.
3. Add eggs separately.
4. Add simultaneously, the flour and milk and the poppy seeds.
5. Pour in 2 9inch greased and floured pans.
6. Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes.
7. Cool for 10 minutes then ummold.
8. Beat the eggs well, the lemon juice, the zest and the sugar.
9. Add butter and bake over medium heat stirring until mixture thickness.
10. Cool completely and refrigerate.
11. For the icing, mix all the ingredients until perfect.
12. Assemble.
