Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups of flour
- 1/2 cup of cocoa
- 1 1/4 teaspoon of soda
- 3/4 teaspoon of salt
- 1 1/4 cups of sugar
- 2/3 cup of shortening (or butter)
- 1 cup of buttermilk of sour milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 eggs

Preparation
Step 1
1. Sift flour, cocoa, soda, salt and sugar.
2. Add shortening, 2/3 cup of buttermilk and vanilla. Mix on speed 4 for 1 minute.
3. Add remaining buttermilk and eggs. Continue beating for 2 minutes.
4. Spread batter evenly in 2 greased flour round layer cake pans.
5. Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes.
6. Cook cake and before unmolding.
