Ingredients
- 4 to 6 lb standing rib roast (completely thawed)
- 1 package of Au Jus mix

Preparation
Step 1
Six to eight hours before you want to serve the roast, preheat the oven to 375 degrees.
Sprinkle about 1/2 the Au Jus mix over the fat portion of the roast.
Place roast (uncovered) fat side up, in a 9x13x2 inch baking pan or dish and bake in oven for one hour.
Turn oven off but *DO NOT OPEN OVEN DOOR!*
45 minutes before you want to serve the roast remove from oven.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Return roast to oven and cook for 40 minutes.
Roast will be done on all sides, medium rare in the center.
Add remaining Au Jus mix to drippings, stir in one cup of water. Heat to boiling. Serve over meat slices.
