  • 1 cup of sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1/2 lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup of sugar

Step 1

1. Beat butter and gradually add sugar. Add eggs and beat well.
2. Incorporate lemon zest.
3. Mix flour, salt, and baking powder.
4. Incorporate dry ingredients to the butter mixture alternating with the milk. Mix well.
5. Bake in a greased mold at 350 for 50-60 minutes.
6. Make the icing by mixing lemon juice and sugar.
7. Pour over the bread and let rest 10 minutes before unmolding.
8. Cool before cutting.
