Ingredients

  • Pastry:
  • 1 cup sour cream (mixed with 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda)
  • 1 cup of brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups of flour (sifted with 3 teaspoons baking powder)
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • Spread:
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup currants
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 2 tablespoons of melted butter

Preparation

Step 1


1. Mix flour, sour cream, salt and add 2 eggs.
2. Make a smooth pastry (you can add flour if necessary).
3. Roll on floured surface to ¼ inch.
4. Mix all ingredients for the spread and spread on dough.
5. Roll and cut in ½ rolls.
6. Bake at 350 on a greased sheet for 20 minutes.
