Ingredients
- 3 pounds pork spareribs - trim excess fat
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1-3/4 cups sliced onion
- 1 bottle (18 ounces) barbecue sauce

Step 1
Place ribs, meat side up, on a broiling pan. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Broil 6 in. from the heat for 15-20 minutes or until browned. Cool; cut into serving-size pieces.
Place onion in a 5-qt. slow cooker; top with ribs. Pour barbecue sauce over all. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour; reduce heat to low and cook 3-4 hours or until ribs are tender. Or cook on low 8-10 hrs.
