Bread - Amish Friendship
By BlueSchmoo
DAY 10 Stir, separate into 3 - 1 Cup containers, give 2 to friends with this recipe, keep one for
yourself for the future, what’s left is what you now can make 2 loaves of bread with
Alternative breads
BANANA NUT
Use Banana pudding instead of Vanilla, omit Cinnamon, just
Use it to coat the pans and the top and add 1 Cup of nuts
LEMON POPPY SEED
Try ¼ Cup of Poppy Seeds (whatever looks right when it gets mixed up) Leave out
Cinnamon
The combinations are limited only to your imagination and the flavors of instant
pudding you can get
There is a strong possibility you wont be able to find 5.1 oz boxes of pudding, In that
case substitute 2 small 3.4 oz and add the following:
1 Egg
2 Tbsp Oil
1/3 Cup Milk (incidentally it does not matter Whole 2%, 1%, or if it’s buttermilk or a
combination of regular and buttermilk
And don’t forget to make just a plain one sometime with no Cinnamon except on the pan and topping, great with Ice Cream or as a Shortcake

Preparation
Step 1
PREHEAT OVEN to 325
Slowly add dry ingredients to the wet mixing thoroughly, at this point you can use an electric mixer it will not hurt the batter) Mix up about a 1/2 cup sugar with about 1 tsp Cinnamon (or to your taste) Set aside, and grease 2 9x5 loaf pans (you can coat well with Pam and they wont stick) then coat with cinnamon sugar shaking to cover sides and bottom, shake out excess, pour
in batter evenly dividing between the 2 pans, then sprinkle with Cinnamon sugar
Bake 1 hour (time may vary) Check after 50 minutes insert a toothpick or skewer, when it comes out clean they’re done, remove from oven and let cool in pans about 5 minutes then remove to cooling rack, cool completely before storing, you can wrap in plastic wrap then foil to keep fresh or freeze one for later
