Ingredients

  • 3 or 4 lbs of Top or Bottom of the Round Steak
  • Several whole Allspices
  • 1 large onion cut into rings
  • 3 or 4 cloves of garlic
  • 3 Tbs of vinegar
  • 2 o3 tsp of sugar
  • 3/4 cup ketchup
  • salt and pepper to taste

Step 1

Wipe meat with a damp cloth and cut in large pieces. Place in a large casserole dish and top with all of the ingredients. Do not add water. Cover and cook in a 350 degree oven for about an hour and a half or until meat is tender and gravy has become medium thick.
