Ingredients

  • 4 cups cheese (Monterey Jack or Asadero) shredded fine
  • 2 - 4 oz cans green chiles
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 1 thin slice onion, chopped fine
  • 3 tsp cumin
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 serrano peppers, chopped fine
  • 1 handful cilantro, chopped fine

Preparation

Step 1

Put all ingredients in a double boiler and heat on medium. Cook until melted and well blended, stirring occasionally. Serve with fresh tostadas or hot flour tortillas.
