Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1 Tablespoon of water
- salt & pepper
- 1/2 cup italian style bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour
- 2 Tablespoons of cornstarch
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup panko style bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup parmesean cheese
- 8 string cheese, frozen and cut in half
- Oil for frying
- Marinara sauce for dipping

Step 1
Mix eggs and water in a small bowl, season with salt and pepper.
Mix bread crumbs, flour, cornstarch, salt, pepper and garlic powder in a shallow pie pan.
Mix panko and parmesean cheese in a shallow pie pan.
Dip cheese into egg mixture, then into bread crumb mixture. Dip back into egg mixture and then into bread crumbs for a second time. Dip cheese into egg mixture for a third time and then into the panko mixture.
Put on a tray lined with wax paper and freeze for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 200-350F. (To keep cheese warm while frying batches)
Put oil in a dutch oven and heat to 350F. Fry cheese 8 at a time until golden. Drain on a baking rack fitted over a sheet pan.
